Stripping Back The Past
Our teams have a wealth of commercial and on-site experience, working on a wide range of projects from smaller shop strip out packages over just a couple of days, to medium sized office strip outs in the city centre, right the way up to taking larger industrial units “back to shell”.
From Tip to Toe
Top down demolition is employed for high-level buildings whereby (usually) 360 excavators are craned up onto the roof space and carefully demolish from quite literally the “top down”.
This method is especially useful when space at ground level is at a minimum or the structure is simply too tall. Once space has been created at ground level, a high reach machine could also be engaged to work in tandem.
Retaining the architectural heritage is important to the history of cities and towns. J H HICKS Demolition has the capability to deliver engineered solutions to enable the robust retention of building facades whilst safely deconstructing and removing the surplus structure.
Our Facade Retention service is a temporary works solution, designed to maintain the building facade while remodelling and improving the internal structure

Demolish, Recycle & Reuse
J H HICKS Demolition prioritise their goal to achieve maximum recycling potential on all projects, at J H HICKS Demolition we know that following the demolition of a site, removing all unwanted waste and then buying in new aggregates for a new build can prove to be a very costly process. To help make this process more cost effective and sustainable we offer comprehensive concrete crushing. This allows you to recycle unwanted demolished materials into useable building materials, saving you both time and money.
